How We Build Every Piece

Crafted for Collectors. Built Without Compromise.

Every collectible produced by Obsidian Guild Studios begins with a commitment to quality. From the moment your order is placed until it arrives at your door, each piece passes through a carefully controlled production process designed to preserve every sculpted detail.

We don't mass produce inventory. Every order is crafted specifically for you.

Step 1 — Artist Selection

Every project begins with exceptional digital artwork.

We carefully curate models from talented artists and creators whose work meets our standards for detail, composition, and display quality. Whenever applicable, we obtain the appropriate commercial rights or licensing before offering a model for sale.

Only designs worthy of a collector's display make it into our catalog.

Step 2 — Engineering for Printing

A beautiful sculpt is only the beginning.

Before production starts, each model is professionally prepared for resin printing. We evaluate orientation, support placement, part separation, and structural integrity to ensure the highest possible surface quality while minimizing visible support marks.

This preparation helps preserve sharp details and improves overall durability.

Step 3 — Premium Resin Printing

Every part is produced using professional-grade resin printing equipment capable of capturing extremely fine details.

Our carefully selected resin blends are chosen for their balance of detail, strength, and long-term durability, producing crisp textures, sharp edges, and smooth surfaces worthy of display.

Each print is continuously monitored throughout production to maintain consistent quality.

Step 4 — Cleaning & UV Curing

Once printing is complete, every component is thoroughly cleaned to remove uncured resin before entering a controlled UV curing process.

Proper curing is essential for achieving dimensional accuracy, strength, and long-term stability while preserving the fine details of the original sculpt.

Step 5 — Support Removal & Surface Inspection

Supports are removed carefully by hand to protect delicate features and fine textures.

Every surface is inspected for imperfections, and each component is evaluated before moving to the next stage of production.

Only parts that meet our quality standards continue through the process.

Step 6 — Test Fit & Quality Control

Before packaging, components are checked to ensure they fit together as intended.

We inspect for:

  • Print quality
  • Surface finish
  • Dimensional accuracy
  • Missing details
  • Structural integrity
  • Overall presentation

If a part does not meet our standards, it is reprinted.

Step 7 — Protective Packaging

Collectors expect their pieces to arrive safely.

Every order is packaged using protective materials selected to reduce movement during shipping and help safeguard delicate components in transit.

Our goal is for your collectible to arrive in the same condition it left our studio.

Step 8 — Ready for Your Collection

Once your collectible passes its final inspection, it is prepared for shipment.

Whether you enjoy assembling, painting, or displaying your statue immediately, every piece reflects the craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail that define Obsidian Guild Studios.

Obsidian Guild Studios — Frequently Asked Questions

Are your statues mass-produced?

No. Every piece from Obsidian Guild Studios is made-to-order using premium grade resin and produced in limited quantities. Each statue is individually crafted, finished, and quality-checked to meet collector-grade standards.

What materials are used?

All products are created using premium grade resin for exceptional detail, durability, and surface quality. This allows for sharp sculpt fidelity and a true display-worthy finish.

What finish options do you offer?

We offer three collector-focused finishes:

  • Unassembled & Unpainted (UU): A raw kit intended for experienced hobbyists who prefer to assemble and paint their own pieces.
  • Prepped & Primed (PP): Fully assembled, cleaned, and primed—ready for painting.
  • Hand-Painted (HP): A commissioned, studio-finished collectible completed by hand.

How do Hand-Painted commissions work?

Hand-Painted pieces are commission-based. A deposit is required to begin production, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Each piece is painted by hand, making every final result unique and one-of-a-kind.

What are your production times?

All items are made-to-order. Estimated production timelines are:

  • Standard Sizes (1/6 – 1/4 scale):
    • Unassembled & Unpainted / Prepped & Primed: 2–3 weeks
    • Hand-Painted: 4–6 weeks
  • Gallery Scale (1/3 scale):
    • Unassembled & Unpainted / Prepped & Primed: 4–6 weeks
    • Hand-Painted (Commission): 8–12 weeks

Production times may vary depending on model complexity and current production queue.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by their country.

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure safe delivery. Larger or more complex models may ship in multiple parts to prevent damage during transit.

Can I cancel or return my order?

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, all sales are final once production has begun. Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of placing your order.

Are these official licensed products?

Some items are fan-art interpretations created by independent artists. These are not officially licensed products and are intended strictly for collector and display purposes.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Each item is individually produced. Minor variations in finish, color, or assembly may occur—especially with hand-painted commissions. These variations are part of the handcrafted nature of the product.

Do you offer custom work or special requests?

Yes. Select custom commissions may be available depending on scope and availability. Please contact us directly to discuss your project.
