Obsidian Guild Studios — Frequently Asked Questions
Obsidian Guild Studios — Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Products
Are your pieces mass-produced?
No. Every collectible is produced on a made-to-order basis. We do not maintain pre-built inventory. Your piece enters production after your order is confirmed, ensuring each one receives individual attention throughout the process.
What materials do you use?
All pieces are produced in high-detail, collector-grade photopolymer resin, selected for exceptional detail fidelity, surface quality, and display presentation.
What finish options are available?
- Unassembled & Unpainted (UU) — Printed, cleaned, and quality-inspected resin components, ready for assembly and painting by the collector.
- Prepped & Primed (PP) — Professionally prepared with surface refinement, seam control, and a studio primer coat — ready for painting or display preparation.
- Hand-Painted Commission (HP) — Individually finished by our paint team with detailed color, contrast, texture, and presentation work. A 30% deposit reserves your position in the commission queue.
Production Times
How long does production take?
Each OGS collectible is produced to order. Production times are estimates and may vary based on model complexity, scale, order volume, material availability, and the selected finish. Shipping and transit time begins after production is complete.
- Unassembled & Unpainted (UU): 3–5 weeks
- Prepped & Primed (PP): 4–7 weeks
- Hand-Painted Commission (HP): 10–16 weeks from the start of the scheduled commission window
Gallery-scale and highly complex pieces may carry a product-specific lead time noted on the product page. During peak seasons and high-demand drop periods, production times may be extended. We will communicate any delays proactively.
When does production begin?
Production begins immediately after your order is confirmed and payment is processed. For Hand-Painted Commissions, the 10–16 week window begins from the start of your scheduled commission window, not necessarily the order date.
Hand-Painted Commissions
How does the commission process work?
- Place your order and select the Hand-Painted Commission (HP) finish.
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is collected to secure your position in the painting queue.
- Your piece enters the print and assembly phase.
- Once printing and assembly are complete, painting begins.
- The remaining balance is collected prior to shipment.
Can I cancel a commission?
Commissions may be cancelled before production begins — your deposit will be forfeited and no further charges will apply. Once production has begun, cancellations are not possible and no refund is available, as materials and labor have been committed.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide. International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and local handling fees, which are the sole responsibility of the collector.
How are pieces packaged?
Every collectible is packaged with protective foam inserts, reinforced double-wall shipping boxes, and separated components for larger or multi-part statues. Our goal is to ensure your piece arrives safely and ready for display.
How long does shipping take after dispatch?
- United States: 3–7 business days
- Canada: 5–10 business days
- International: 7–21 business days
Customs processing may extend international delivery times. These are carrier estimates and are not guaranteed.
Returns & Cancellations
Can I cancel my order?
Standard orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, production may have begun and cancellations cannot be accommodated. For commission cancellations, see the Hand-Painted Commissions section above.
What is your return policy?
We accept return requests within 14 days of confirmed delivery for items that are unassembled, unmodified, and in original packaging. Please review our full Refund Policy for complete details.
Licensing & IP
Are your pieces officially licensed?
No. Our collectibles are independently produced fan-art pieces. They are not officially licensed, endorsed, or affiliated with the franchise IP holders. We work with independent digital sculptors and creators under applicable commercial production permissions. Please review our Creator Authorization & Licensing Policy for full details.
Do you credit the original sculptors?
Yes. Where a design is licensed from an independent creator or Patreon sculptor, the original artist is credited on the product page. We encourage collectors to support these creators directly.
Custom Work
Do you offer custom scaling or modifications?
Custom scaling and modifications may be available on a case-by-case basis. Contact us through the Contact page to discuss your requirements.
